Areas of Focus

Clinical Research Studies

Open Wound Research partners with sponsors and wound care stakeholders to perform research. Through our partnerships with wound care providers and consultancies, we are able to source cohorts that meet sponsors’ needs, follow and/or develop protocols with high fidelity, and return data and/or analysis that allows for clear and actionable insights.

We also perform hypothesis testing, study ideation, study design, and model creation and implementation,

Economic, Market and Market Studies

Although clinical research is our primary objective, we believe that economic, market and marketing research is pivotal to understanding the economic impact of wound care on stakeholders. Moreover, understanding the market of wound care contextualizes wound care and its impact on the healthcare market. With the rise of value-based care, understanding how to value wound care services and products appropriately, allows us to help to inform the conversation around reimbursement using quantative models of value.

Data Fusion

Wound care data is often messy, disparate, discordant, and difficult to manage for research purposes. We have the competency to collect, collate, and munge data for use. Additionally, we collect and organize healthcare market data to assist in research efforts. We use the latest tabular data formats to ensure data is highly accessible and portable.

Open Source

Open Wound Research is committed to making data and software available via open-source principles. We believe that the pillars of open-source, Transparency, Participation, and Collaboration, can accelerate innovation and improve patient outcomes in wound care.
